Emilie Sengelin est née en 1980. Elle entreprend une formation aux techniques d'animation à l'EMCA d'Angoulême, ou elle co-réalise Sans Fil, film d'animation en volume. Elle rejoint ensuite la Poudrière, école de réalisation de film d'animation, où elle réalise Le Rond-Point (film d'une minute), Hugo le fayot (film de commande pour la chaîne TV Canal J) et Bouts en Train, son film de fin d'étude. Dans le cadre des 24 heures de la Bande Dessinée et de l'Animation.

Emilie Sengelin was born in 1980. She began training in animation techniques at EMCA in Angoulême, where she co-directed Sans Fil, a volume animation film. She then joined La Poudrière, an animation film school, where she directed Le Rond-Point (a one-minute film), Hugo le fayot (a commissioned film for the TV channel Canal J) and Bouts en Train, her graduation film.
